Summer Internship Program
Hawaiian Electric is committed to providing college students an opportunity to learn and grow within their field of study. Our internship program is designed to allow students the ability to gain coveted professional experience and industry knowledge.
The Summer Internship Program includes:
- Paid full-time internship
- Eligible for benefits offerings
- 1:1 Mentorship pairing
- Individual summer project
- Regular events with intern class
Summer Internship Eligibility:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program, and will be continuing in the Fall semester (or quarter)
- Able to provide proof of enrollment at an accredited college or university
- Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA
- Authorized to work in the United States
The Summer Internship Program looks for students studying:
- Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Telecommunication, Civil/Structural)
- Accounting, Finance, Auditing, Credit
- Human Resources, Marketing, Digital Communications, Organizational Development
- Safety, Emergency Planning & Preparedness
- Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Management Information Systems, Data Science
- Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
- Business/Records Management
- Meteorology
- Fire Investigation
- Data/Business Analysis
- Renewable/Sustainable Energy
- Project Management
- Real Estate
