BRIEF POSTING DESCRIPTION:

The P TF CUSTOMER ENGINEERING 2 ADMIN Department of the H ENGINEERING Division at Hawaiian Electric Company has 1 Bargaining Unit vacancy available. (Role: Non-Exempt)

JOB FUNCTION:

Processes excavation clearances and review and comment requests.  Updates and maintains materials and records as required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Fundamental Responsibilities:

• Processes excavation clearances in accordance with established procedures.  Researches, reviews and gathers maps, records, and drawings to complete paperwork; distributes and files completed paperwork.
• Processes review and comment requests in accordance with established procedures.  Researches, reviews and gathers maps, records, construction drawings, and sketches to complete paperwork.  Distributes and files completed paperwork.
• Updates and maintains excavation clearance file, review & comment files, underground cable cards and index, manhole list, and various maps and drawings.
• Utilizes various office equipment, such as copiers, facsimile, computers and related software, printers, etc. to perform the duties/responsibilities of the position.

Other Responsibilities:

• May assist in performing field inspections as required.
• May operate Company vehicle as required.
• Performs similar and incidental duties as required.
• Assume an emergency management role, as assigned, and perform specific assignments or functions, as needed, in an event of an emergency, not to include routine trouble calls/callouts.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must pass the Edison Electric Institute Technician Occupations Selection System (TECH).
  • Note:   Employees who have taken and passed the Differential Aptitude Test (DAT) do not need to take the TECH.
• Must pass the SRA Oral & Written Directions Test.
• Ability to identify and distinguish different colors and color hues required.
• Must have successfully completed at least one community college level course in Introduction to Drafting or the equivalent.
• Must have or be able to qualify for a State of Hawaii driver's license.  Must meet the standards for required driving positions stated in the Hiring Standards for Required Driving Positions policy.

Work Hours: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Location: Honolulu  – Oahu

Wage: $29.09 – $37.28
