BRIEF POSTING DESCRIPTION:
The P IK KAHE STATION OPERATIONS Department of the P GENERATION Division at Hawaiian Electric Company has 1 Bargaining Unit vacancy available. (Role: Non-Exempt)
JOB FUNCTION:
Performs clerical and timekeeping functions at the power plant.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Reports sick and industrial absences to the Corporate Health Administrator, and Disability Management and Safety Divisions, as appropriate.
- Processes timecards and maintains attendance and other logs.
- Distributes & collects mail throughout the plant.
- Performs routine data entry and retrieval functions as assigned.
- Utilizes various office equipment, such as copiers, facsimile, adding machine/calculator, computers and related software, printers, etc.
- Processes applications for sick benefit pay.
- Maintains drawing and correspondence files and bulletin boards.
- Distributes paychecks.
- Processes accident reports.
- Requisitions and issues stationery supplies.
- Maintains employees’ address and telephone list as required.
- Administers station locker assignments as required.
- Performs all work of Clerk Typist III.
- Assume an emergency management role, as assigned, and perform specific assignments or functions, as needed, in an event of an emergency, not to include routine trouble calls/callouts.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains MIMS Work Management system and related work.
- Performs similar and incidental duties as required.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must pass the Edison Electric Institute Support & Administrative Selection System (SASS).
- Note: Employees who have taken and passed the General Clerical Test (GCT) do not need to take the SASS.
- Ability to type a minimum of 45 w.p.m. (to be determined by Company administered test).
